This week Animal Capture Wildlife Control was called out to a home in the Eagle Rock area of Los Angeles because of raccoon babies in the attic. When I arrived the mother was no where to be found when I went into the attic and the babies had a very weak chatter. That made me think the mom hasn’t been around for at least two or three days. The baby raccoons were also very cold. I removed the baby raccoons and sealed up the attic. The baby raccoons were taken to a wildlife rehab to be raised and released into the wild. WILL BE ON DIRTY JOBS ON DISCOVERY TONIGHT AT 6PM AND 9PM!!!

On Janurary 5, 2010 Jeremy from Animal Capture Wildlife Control appeared on Dirty Jobs on the Discovery channelAnimal  Capture Wildlife Control was on there to do skunk removal, raccoon removal, opossum removal, and dead animal removal.  The first home on the show we removed a dead skunk from under the home.  The smell was intense and the skunk was covered in maggots.  Then we also trapped a skunk that was removed from the under floor.  It sprayed us many times.  The homes under floor was sealed up and the skunk was released.  The next place we did was an apartment building in West Hollywood.  This place was crawling with animals.  We removed a skunk, raccoon, opossum, and many dead animal carcasses.  We went under the building to do an inspection to see where the animals were going in and out, see if any damage was done, and see if we found any more animals.  We sealed up the building and released the animals.  It was a great expierence working with Mike Rowe.  I get many questions about Mike Rowe, but the number one question “is Mike a nice guy and the same as he is on tv?”  The answer is yes.  He is such a nice guy and down to earth. He is very whitty and always having a good time.  Him and his crew are a great bunch of guys.  They are always pulling pranks on eachother.  If you would like to see Animal Capture Wildlife Control on Dirty Jobs click link http://dsc.discovery.com/videos/dirty-jobs-animal-control/

Raccoon On Roof In Hancock Park, Raccoon On Roof in Los Angeles

trapped raccoon pv 300x225 Raccoon On Roof In Hancock Park, Raccoon On Roof in Los Angeles

Yesterday I had a client call me out to the Hancock park area of Los Angeles because a raccoon was nesting in the eves of the roof where one roof overlaps another. There is a big space that goes four feet back in the roof and the raccoon has turned it into his home. I went on the roof to do an inspection to find the raccoon nesting in there. I backed off because it was 30 feet off the ground and on the edge of the roof. I set up some traps around the trees where the raccoon was accessing the roof. These raccoons are able to access peoples roofs from trees touching the roof line, climbing awnings, as well as shrubs that touch the roof. These are all ladders to the roof line. Se called me today to tell me I trapped the raccoon. I came out to remove it and did another roof inspection. The raccoon I caught was the one nesting in the eves. I removed the nest and the job was finished.

Raccoons Tearing Up The Grass In The Hollywood Hills

On Wednesday Animal Capture Wildlife Control was called out to the Hollywood Hills because raccoons were tearing up some newly planted sod. In this situation I have clients tell me they have tried everything like, critter-ridder, chili pepper, staking chicken wire over the grass, motion sprinklers, and even bright lights and radios. NOTHING WORKS EXCEPT TRAPPING THE RACCOONS AND GETTING RID OF THEM!!! I have clients that keep the traps at their home for months until the grass gets impacted into the ground. I catch many many animals and they say keep getting them before they tear up the lawn again. The raccoons tear up the grass because the are eating the grubs and worms underneath the sod. If you ever roll back the sod, you will see that under the sod is loaded with bugs, grubs, and worms. It is like a buffet for these raccoons. Skunks will also do the same thing. I come out and surround the yard with traps and then when the raccoons come they get in the traps before doing too much damage. 5 Raccoon Babies & Mom Removed From Home in Los Angeles, Raccoon removal Los Angeles

Yesterday I had a client call me out because she thought a opossum was in the attic. I came out to do an inspection and went in the attic and as soon as I went in the attic I heard chattering. When I hear chattering, I immediately know it’s raccoon babies.  I then set up three traps outside.  I received a call from the client today telling me there was nothing in the traps.  I then told her the raccoon might have not came out last night and I would just go in today and physically remove the family of raccoons.  This is the most dangerous situation I deal with because a mother raccoon will fully charge and attack you to defend her babies. I went into the attic to find the mother raccoon in a corner. I slowly approached her with my catch-all pole. When I got within reach of her I put the catch-all pole in her face and she immedietly attacked the pole.  She was playing tug of war with the pole. She would tuck her head down aginst the wall so I was not able to slip the pole around her neck. She eventually moved her head and I only had one chance to get her and I did.  She then started freaking out, growling, scratching, and biting the pole. She was mad!!! I got her from the attic, down through the house, and outside toput her in a trap.  I then had to go back in there and physically remove the babies. There was five baby raccoons in the nest. I removed them and brought them outside. I put them in a separate trap because the mom is still in defense mode and will attack her own babies.  I then took the out to a nearby forest area, put the babies in a box,put a t-shirt under them and angled the trap up the tree and she came out up the tree. I them took off so when she comes down she will move the raccoon babies to a den and find herself a new home. I will go back tomorrow to check and make sure they are gone.  We are the best raccoon removal company in all of Los Angeles. We also specialize in removing raccoons from attics and under floors. Call us for more information at (310) 551-0901 or check out out website at animalcapturewildlifecontrol.com

Raccoon Family Removed From Attic In Pacific Palisades, Raccoon Family Removed In Los Angeles

001 300x225 Raccoon Family Removed From Attic In Pacific Palisades, Raccoon Family Removed In Los Angeles

I had a client call me out because she thought she had a raccoon family living in her attic.  I came out to do an inspection and as soon as I went to push open the space to go in the attic, the mom raccoon started growling at me.  I banged it a couple of times so if she was close she would run.  I then heard her in another room of the house so I went up.  I saw that there was a mom raccoon was with seven babies dropped down in a wall.  I went for the mother raccoon first and put her in a  trap.  I then removed all of the seven babies and put them in a trap.  They babies were more like teenagers.  They put up  a fight just like the mom did.  I was able to remove all of the animals the first day and seal up the attic where the raccoons were entering.  For more information on raccoons check out our website animalcapturewildlifecontrol.com or call Jeremy at (310) 551-0901.
