I had a client call me out because he had a coyote try to kill his dog.  What happened was his housekeeper heard the dog making really odd sounds in the backyard and when she looked out the window a coyote had the dog in his mouth.   She ran down stair and opened the door and threw a shoe at the coyote and it ran off.  So Animal Capture Wildlife Control came out to try to catch the coyote.  I set up the trap in the back yard around a tree and put all kinds of brush around the trap.  It only took a week and a half and the coyote was in the trap.   We still have the trap there in case there is more coyotes.

Today I went to a customers house in Los Angeles where I had traps to remove coyotes.  She called me out because she has a small dog and she was worried a coyote would get it.  I have had the trap there about three weeks and today she called me and told me “We got it!”  She was soo happy.  I used a bait for coyotes called “Shellfish Supreme” from Don(eastern wildlife trappingsupplies) that seems to work really well.  I usually tuck the trap in a bush and cover the bottom of the trap with grass.  The key is not to have the coyote know or see the trap.  It has seem to work for me.  A lot of trappers have told me “you will never catch a coyote in a cage trap,” but here is the pics to prove it.
