The skunks were getting in under the house and tearing up the insulation and stinking the house up really bad. The home owners daughter was sent home from school because she smelt like skunk. I set up five traps and the next day the traps were full of skunks. Today Animal Capture Wildlife Control was called out to a residence in the Granada Hills area of Los Angeles. I had been trapping at this residence for a week now because the dog was attacked by a raccoon. Today they called me and told me I had three skunks in one trap. It is not uncommon to trap two animal in a trap at the same time, but three is pretty rare. These animal get trapped in the same trap together because they eat so close together. In this case it was a mother skunk and two of her babies. The skunks were taken to a nice place with plenty of water and food to grow up together and released. On Janurary 5, 2010 Jeremy from Animal Capture Wildlife Control appeared on Dirty Jobs on the Discovery channel.  Animal  Capture Wildlife Control was on there to do skunk removal, raccoon removal, opossum removal, and dead animal removal.  The first home on the show we removed a dead skunk from under the home.  The smell was intense and the skunk was covered in maggots.  Then we also trapped a skunk that was removed from the under floor.  It sprayed us many times.  The homes under floor was sealed up and the skunk was released.  The next place we did was an apartment building in West Hollywood.  This place was crawling with animals.  We removed a skunk, raccoon, opossum, and many dead animal carcasses.  We went under the building to do an inspection to see where the animals were going in and out, see if any damage was done, and see if we found any more animals.  We sealed up the building and released the animals.  It was a great expierence working with Mike Rowe.  I get many questions about Mike Rowe, but the number one question “is Mike a nice guy and the same as he is on tv?”  The answer is yes.  He is such a nice guy and down to earth. This week Animal Capture Wildlife Controlwas called out to Bel Air because a skunk was coming under the homeowners fence and fighting and spraying the dog. I set up two traps by the holes in the fence and caught the skunk the first night. I rest more traps in case there were more skunks coming in the yard. Animal Capture Wildlife Control was called out to Long Beach for a skunk removal. The client stated the skunk was living under the home. The skunk had been spraying and stinking up the whole house. I received a call today that the skunk was in the trap. I responded right away and removed the skunk. It sprayed me right in the chest. It was a little windy today so the sheet I was using was blowing in the wind and the skunk got me in the chest. It’s no big dead for me, I stink like a skunk almost everyday.
