This week Animal Capture Wildlife Control was called out to a home in Santa Clarita because the homeowner had an opossum in their attic. They had noticed an opossum going up a tree and entering their attic. They said the opossum was nesting above their daughters room and keeping her awake all night. The daughter was afraid to sleep in her room because she thought the opossum would come through the sheet rock. I responded right away and did an attic inspection. In my inspection I found many opossum droppings all over the attic. I also found the animal was entering the home through an area of the roof where one roof overlapped another. I then set up a couple traps where the opossum was going up a tree that was touching the roof. The next day the opossum was in the trap. I then left the traps or three more days to make sure there were no more opossums in the attic. I sealed up the roof where the opossum was entering the attic and job is complete.
