Baby Opossums Removed From Inside Home in West Hollywood, Opossums Removed Los Angeles
Today I had a client call me out in West Hollywood becasue she walked into her bathroom this morning and saw a baby opossum running around. I responded right away to find two baby opossums in the bathroom. The first one I found had climbed into the cabinet under the sink. When I opened the cabinet the baby opossum was just looking at me. I grabbed him and put him in a trap. I searched the rest of the bathroom to see if there were more and found another one in the linen cabinet. I was removing the towels and bed sheets and a baby popped out under a towel. The baby opossums were really small and not really trying to bite, they just wanted to get away. They were really cute. I noticed in the bathroom the air conditioner vent was missing and figured they had torn into the air ducts and were walking in the air duct and fell into the bathroom. I did an attic inspection and found they were entering the attic through a vent that had been torn off. After entering the attic the opossums had torn into the air duct system and urinated and defecated all through the air ducts. The whole air duct system for the house needs to be replaced. I set up traps to trap the mom and held on to the babies so I can release them all together.
